The Women4Leadership project aims at raising awareness and breaking social norms by educating young women on dismantling patriarchal stereotypes related to their sexual and reproductive health rights. The project helps strengthen the role of young change-makers and the capacity for the action of youth in the fight against gender-based violence, women's access to reproductive and sexual health rights, and the advancement of comprehensive sex education. It encourages young women to break stereotypes and norms related to SRHR as they will be responsible for teaching everything they learned within the program to young women and girls in their communities.

The project will increase advocacy related to reproductive and sexual health rights’ knowledge of the beneficiaries as it will be implemented in the form of a series of workshops led by a group of experts with previous advocacy engagement experiences and expertise in women’s rights. Thus, P4H through its W4L program is proposing a sustainable solution to improve access to SRHR by providing a network and a space for women to become actors of change. By doing this W4L will prepare these young women to be active in their respective communities and in Morocco by making positive changes. To ensure that this program is inclusive and equitable, it will reach out to young women from all regions of Morocco, and all groups and it will not discriminate against anyone.

Activities:

W4L will revolve around developing educational tools on CSE, GBV, and SRHR, that will be used to conduct training of trainers for young women, adapted to all, young women from the city, rural and semi-rural areas, refugees, migrants, and indigenous young women in Morocco. Events will be organized with community leaders and leading women's rights NGOs, CSOs, and youth-led movements to discuss such topics. Educational tools and fact sheets will also be published in an effort to advocate for norms change, as well as blog entries around CSE, GBV, and SRHR. The project will increase knowledge and advocacy related to SRHR of the beneficiaries as it will be implemented in the form of online workshops.

Goals:

  • Break stereotypes and cultural norms related to women’s SRHR

  • Decrease gender-based violence and advance SRHR and CSE in Morocco at all levels

  • Birth of a supporting network to advocate for the advancement of women’s SRHR hand in hand with several stakeholders
