Politics4Her Europe’s webinar titled, ‘A Safer Digital Space: Policy Responses to Online Gender Based Violence’, delved into the complex issue of OGBV within the framework of EU policies. Our esteemed panellists- Josephine Ballon, Elena Michael, and Mardiya Siba Yahaya- examined a range of topics, including image-based sexual abuse, the ethical implications of AI, and online harassment. The webinar offered an overview of existing legislative measures addressing OGBV, highlighted inherent gaps within the current legal landscape, and proposed actionable strategies to address these deficiencies, ultimately fostering greater protection for women and girls navigating the digital realm.
