Suchi Gaur


Suchi Gaur brings over 16 years of inspiring leadership in the social sector, driving impact at the intersection of gender, health, and technology across nonprofits, startups, and research organizations. As the Director for Global Engagement and Impact at World YWCA, she leads groundbreaking programs, communications, and advocacy efforts, championing rights-based policies and bridging access gaps worldwide. Dr. Gaur has been instrumental in developing transformative tools like the Feminist Consultation Methodology, the Safe Spaces Guide, and the RiseUp! Young Women Leadership Guide, which continue to empower communities and spark change globally. She also leads partnerships with incredible donors such as the Government of Australia, the EU-DGNTPA, Christian Aid, and Norwegian Church Aid, to name a few. Passionate about amplifying young women's leadership and fostering intersectional, intergenerational solidarity, Dr. Gaur prioritizes a DEI-focused, rights-driven approach in all her work. Her academic expertise—rooted in a PhD on participatory community communications—focuses on decolonizing research, building inclusive evidence, and addressing power dynamics through community-centered approaches. Recognized as one of the 50 Global Gender Mentors on Gender Equality for Youth Leaders by the NGO-CSW Forum, Dr. Gaur also contributes her expertise as part of various advisory groups.
