Time Magazine announced its traditional “person of the year”. This time it is not a single person, but several: the first women who “broke the silence” and revealed the Weinstein case to thousands of people who followed the movement with the hashtag #metoo. The magazine has put six women in its cover, including actress Ashley Judd, singer Taylor Swift and former Uber employee Susan Fowler, as well as a woman with a hidden face, in reference to those who remained anonymous. This movement, whose scope continues to free victims of sexual violence shook the United States. It has also resonated worldwide, including on social networks, with #balancetonporc in France, or #YoTambien in Spain. Since the first charges published by the New York Times and the New Yorker against film producer Harvey Weinstein in October, not a day goes by without him being accused of harassment or sexual abuse. Congratulations to these amazing, strong and brave women!
